How we fund our work

Leitmotiv’s income is diversified to ensure robust funding for its initiatives. Leitmotiv will raise funds from national and international philanthropic organizations, individual gifts/donations, legacies, inheritances, subsidies and other types of donations. Leitmotiv will furthermore seek pro bono support from academic organizations, partner organizations and other institutions in order to fulfill its mission and objectives. Collaborations with like-minded organizations may also lead to shared fundraising opportunities. Leitmotiv’s fundraising will consist of applications for project financing with philanthropic organizations, applications for organizational funding with philanthropic organizations, and seeking individual donations through (crowdfunding) campaigns and other fundraising activities.

We are uncompromisingly independent. We are not affiliated with any political party or corporate actor. We seek to support all political decision-makers who respect the values of democracy, human rights and a pluralistic society. We do not accept financial support from companies directly affected by the policies we address. We are able to do this by funding our work with the help of a diverse portfolio of supporters.
